Honor and Glory!

My readers rock. You know how I know this? 'Cause I've been nominated for a Book Blogger Appreciation Award in the best Special Interest Blog category. *sniff* I'm so chuffed. It's an honor to be nominated and be in such glorious company with Rex Parker's Pop Sensation and Smart Bitches, Trashy Books, among others.

But! I need your help. I need to submit five of my posts that best represent my blog. Any suggestions? A Baen book, perhaps? Definitely have to throw in a Mammary Monday and a Phallic Phriday submission. But which? I'm stumped. What do you think??

In other news, look to the left------>

There's a link for my etsy store. I add new stuff all the time. Buy something and I will offer you the opportunity to guest blog a book cover or two. You know you want to. You can also scroll down for my Paypal "donate" link if you aren't feeling in the need of something crafty. If you've already bought something or donated something and would like to take advantage of this opportunity, throw me a line over at judgeabook@yahoo.com.

And, since I can't leave you alone without a book cover to snark on...Here's a note from my former supervisor along with a cover. Is her head on fire???

I think you definitely need to include the post showing the evidence for why you shouldn't be allowed to go the library sale. Sorry, don't remember the actual title, but there were a bunch of examples of horribly wrong covers.

Not another suggestion, but saw this graph of fantasy cover art trends for 2008 and thought of you. Swords (naturally) top the list. Here's the link:

Alissa, I love it! Swords make or break a fantasy cover for me, but then again, I might be biased. (The joke around our house when one of us accuses the other of being biased is that "no, I only have one ass! Yeah, DocTutle and I are lame.)

Congratulations!! You totally deserve it!! I'll take a look at past posts and see if I have any suggestions, but there are tons of sword wielding PP posts that would be perfect!!!

Well, my personal favorite Phallic Phriday entry is this one: http://judgeabook.blogspot.com/search/label/Phallic%20Phriday?updated-max=2007-12-21T14%3A07%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=20

And this one's my favorite Mammary Monday: http://judgeabook.blogspot.com/search/label/Mammary%20Monday?max-results=20

I looked through every single Phallic Phriday and Mammary Monday post to find those. The things I do for you, Maughta.

I hope that helps a little. I also agree with Alissa about the library sale post. That one's a classic.

Congrats! I like the library sale post, too. And there's a few phallic fridays that were winners, but I thought the post about this cover, "mucous sushi" was hilarious. http://judgeabook.blogspot.com/2009/05/contest.html

I think I started following your blog that day.

Congrats on the nomination Maughta (and the rest of the Judge a Book crew)!

I totally agree with including the three-armed heroine.

I think my favorite Phallic Phriday is:

Well, or possibly:

Maybe include a Creepy Baby Cover, which seems to be something of a theme on the blog:

There's the excellent creepiness factor here too:

Of the Baen covers I like these:

You could go old-school with one of your earliest entries, for Longarm!

In conclusion, Deal With This!

I have SO many favorites. Here are a few:

* I agree about including: Five Reasons Maughta Shouldn't Be Allowed at the Friends of the Library Book Sale
*Minin' the Mailbag (I know it is recent, but it is great!)
*Rules of Engagement
*Nazis are Evil
*Phallic Phriday: Republican Tools Edition
*Phallic Phriday (Now on Fridays!)
*Greek Theme
*Chinese Handcuffs
*Sultry Sunday #11 - The weekly *"Pop Sensation" crossover
*Hold onto your hats, cowboys, it's time for LONGARM! (My old-man co-worker went through one of these a day. I thought it was impossible until I saw how many there were. CLASSIC post)
*Dying for an elevator!
*Sultry Sunday #8 - The weekly "Pop Sensation" crossover

Ok, more than a few. And clearly I like the naughty ones. A lot. I think it is important to note that my verification word is "prikero". Too bad it is not Phriday. Prikero indeed.
